    Sharon Edwards

    Licensed Real Estate Salesperson

"It's a great time for the Commercial and Residential sales and leasing business in the Hamptons," says veteran Commercial real estate specialist and licensed Real Estate Salesperson Sharon Edwards. “This is a time for growth and discovering opportunities in retail omni channel sales. The connection between in-store and online sales is getting stronger every day. It will be exciting to see how that comes together in the Hamptons real estate market and I look forward to being part of it all."

Sharon comes to Town & Country Real Estate's Westhampton Beach Office after a successful career in Manhattan where she worked with LSL Advisors, a boutique commercial real estate brokerage. During her tenure at LSL Sharon worked with a Montessori School as well as office and retail tenants. Early in her career, she worked with Grenadier Realty Corp and learned the ropes when it came to retail deals such as D Is For Doggie, HSBC, Rite Aid, Dunkin Donuts, office, parking garages, and even antenna leases.

Her career brought her to Long Island, and much closer to her home on the East End, when she worked with Simon Property Group, famous for Smith Haven Mall and Walt Whitman Mall properties, on the landlord side of the deal. Regarding the Hamptons commercial real estate marketplace Sharon says, "There are definite vacancies here in retail."

Sharon grew up in East Moriches and went to high school in Westhampton Beach before heading to SUNY Oneonta for college, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. Working in the village over the years Sharon came to truly understand what makes Westhampton Beach so special. "I worked on Main Street in the summers for years and practically lived on the beaches. To this day Cupsogue Beach, Rogers Beach, and Pikes Beach are my favorites and I love sharing them with my three children."

Having a child with Autism led Sharon to become active in the Autism community with fundraising efforts. Passions outside of real estate include spending time with her family, reading, and walking on the beaches in the summer.

"Marketing commercial spaces has been my specialty," says Sharon. "I spend time prospecting, reading trade publications, and networking. Having the background in shopping centers lends an understanding of how not to duplicate a use in order to keep existing businesses thriving which is important for the growth of all businesses. Adding value by educating clients, helping retailers grow into new locations and develop is part of the hands-on service I offer. From brand new and emerging businesses to national brands and established retailers I see potential in every space."
